Business Chinese

This program is offered to international students who are non-native Chinese speakers. Upon completion of the program, students will be able to grow into Chinese language talent with systematic knowledge and skills about the Chinese language, understandings about Chinese culture and society, basic skills about social science and economics and trade, and cross-cultural competencies.

Students will acquire knowledge and skills about Chinese language, while obtaining foundational knowledge about Chinese culture, literature, economics and trade etc. as outlined below:

• Master basic theory and knowledge about Chinese language for listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating;
• Understand Chinese traditional culture and social customs;
• Have basic understandings about economics and trade;
• Able to use Chinese language for working in the areas of economics, culture and education
• Have the ability for applying theory into practice and for interpersonal communication, fulfilling cross-cultural tasks for governments, enterprises and social organisations
